We use Strava to share our runs and support each other.
Stef Stavri set up Run4Rene in 2017 following the death of her brother Rene to suicide.
Stef found running as a way of dealing with her overwhelming grief and anxiety and wanted to share this with others and raise awareness about suicide prevention. Run4Rene was set up in Rene’s memory and has now grown to several crews which bring together a whole community of people from different ages and backgrounds, supporting each other’s mental health. Whatever you run for, we’ll run with you.

Run4Rene is and will always be a free space for the community to turn to. We are completely not-for-profit; all run leaders are volunteering their time and we have no paid employees. Having said that, we do need support to cover our basic costs which are two-fold.
Mental Health
Run leaders mental health training. We want to support our run leaders and provide all volunteers with mental health first aid training.
Promotion
Promoting our community. Printing flyers, sponsoring posts, hosting leader forums are all an essential part in getting news of the support we offer out to those who need it.
